The Ohio individual income tax and school district income tax returns, payments and estimated payments with due dates from April 15, 2020 through June 15, 2020, have been extended to July 15, 2020.

If you scheduled a payment when you electronically filed the 2019 Ohio IT 1040 return, the payment (including any first two 2020 estimated payments) will be processed on the date you originally chose, and will NOT be automatically rescheduled to July 15, 2020. 

If you wish to cancel this payment and reschedule, you must complete the below steps at least one day prior to the scheduled payment date:

1. Log into Online Services with your User ID and Password.
2. Under Online Services on the left side of the page, click View / Make Payments.
3. Click the View / Make Payments button.
4. Select the number of months from the dropdown, then click the Go button.
5. Under “View Payments”, click the cancel button to the right of the payment you wish to cancel.
6. A screen will appear stating "Pending Payment Status Changed" to confirm that the payment has been cancelled and will provide you a confirmation number. Please retain this confirmation number. You will also receive a letter confirming that the payment has been cancelled.

Once your payment is cancelled, you will need to reschedule the cancelled payment to a later date, see below instructions:

1. Click View/Make Payments link on the left side.
2. Click the “Make an electronic payment” option to schedule a new payment. 

o Note: The “Pay now” option (located next to any IT1040/SD100 balance due return) on the dashboard will not allow a future dated payment (payment will be processed the same day).

If you are unable to cancel your payment through Online Services, you will need to contact your financial institution.
